I have Cortland 444 Peach WF5F on one rod, Scientific Anglers Mastery Infinity WF5F on another, and factory-spooled Orvis Clearwater WF5F line on my beginner Encounter kit. A 6 weight Radian or Meridian with a 200 grain sink tip and an unweighted fly (maximum 4’ of leader) can easily hit targets 75-80 feet with great accuracy and get the fly down to the fish.
