I'm thinking I should probably clean my throttle body as a preventative measure and am wondering if I can just turn on the ignition (but not start the car), wedge a stick between the gas pedal and the seat to open the butterfly valve and then use some CRC throttle body cleaner on a rag (or maybe on a firearm cleaning swab) to wipe it out.First thing I would do is get a scanner and see what codes are set, it could be a bad throttle body right out of the box. The electric throttle control came on and so did the electronic stabilty control. We also could turn ours off and back on. It would make a temporay fix, and then later mess up again.
