Delta tub spout adapter with set screw.
Since a delta shower set was already installed I stuck with delta to avoid any major remodeling. Was able to swap out the shower head and handle easy. When I got to the tub spout I discovered that there is a proprietary fitting put onto the end of the pipe. This won’t allow me to simply screw in any tub spout.

No set screw on the brass adapter. Seems like delta has a few styles of them that all look similar. I’ve tried unscrewing it but it seems pretty set on there and I get the feeling I might damage something if I try harder. You can cut a hole the size of the tub spout into the tile, so that the tub spout is recessed into the tile a little more and you would be able to get a new spot to set the screw, as long as the hole is inside the sealed portion of the spout.Hi AW, Thank you for your question.
