Walk away lock 2024 Crosstrek. I was just curious if the 2024 Crosstrek has walk away lock feature but it's disabled by Subaru. It looks like it has the tech, it turns on the map light when you get close and turn them off if you walk away. Subaru doesn't do this. Neither does Toyota, which is where they get the tech from. Have a 2024 Crosstrek on order and was looking into how to disable the auto start/stop with one of several devices that use the switch above the fuse panel on the drivers left side. If it is than the answer is yes. As long as you turned the car on with the fob you can walk away with it and the car will keep running until you shut the car off. Moreover, key proximity won't let you lock the key in the car. This was the main reason why many brands created apps to work as fobs. However, it won't spare you from running out of battery or losing the fob.
