It is not dead but since there are few people left playing it, new players gets matched up with seasoned ones thus matchmaking just doesnt work as intented at all. Most of the time you get dominated if you dont have a solid team to back you up. Also, most of the servers are down due to being DDOSed.

Attrition is great because it's a little bit of everything that Titanfall has to offer; pilot vs pilot, titan vs titan, David vs Goliath, grunts, camping is anti productive for a team. To me it's what make Titanfall what it is. I know there are people that really like other game modes, but Attrition is still my favorite.
