Dec 27, 2018 · Go to the planet with the pre-sapients, go to demographics and click on the "declining" field. It will let you select the species that should be purged/hunted. You might have to reset it after each pop purged, but usually it's just 3 anyway. I want to purge these as they are taking up space.

There's literally no mechanical reason to purge pops unless your empire type forces you to. The bonuses from purging are far outweighed by giving them full citizenship and letting them work all jobs.
