Sometimes, not always, while parked I try and roll up the driver's window. It goes up and then comes back down halfway and stops, even if I keep holding the switch, engine running or not, in drive/reverse or not. Also sometimes, when locking the car (with window down) the window automatically goes up (okay), but then comes halfway down.

The window may just need to relearn its up and down positions. You have to do that with the button on the passenger side door. Push down until the window is fully down and hold it for a few seconds. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. Both covers have legends on them describing the fuses.

Next, I stop the engine. turn back to ON without starting, and try again. The re-calibration / reset fails to work again. The window always reverses and goes to the half-up position. Finally, I open and close the passenger door and try again. Now the reset works and the passenger window again works from passenger side or driver side buttons.
