My drz has an FCR39 (no choke). I live at 2000 ft and my trail rides take me routinely beyond 7500ft. It's a *bit richer, but there isn't a dramatic loss of power or anything. The Big Air Carb's are way out of my price range. $1,200.00 plus. I believe the $1200 carb you saw is for a Harley. Dirtbike are more in the $600 range.

The Mikuni is not our favorite carburetor but you can jet it and make the the bike run well.
