Copy your American Laser Games (Singe 1) game folder into the roms/alg folder. Make sure the game folder contains a framefile (usually gamename.txt file) and a .singe file. Run the Scan for New games script to create a proper .alg dummy file for each of the game folders copied. Restart emulationstation and launch your game form the menu.

Arkos isn't too much of a train wreck. It's dated, for sure, but still widely used. JelOS on the other hand is a bit too modern--moving so quickly that something's always broken somewhere, and even though there might be a fix, the fact that nine times out of ten it's an issue you had to seek out information about and resolve is offputting.
