I removed the door very simple just lift up in the full open position .lay the door on a towel and drill a 1/4 inch hole over the head of the screw and you now can remove the screw with out disassembling the door. Something the factory should have done!

We carefully removed the hard rubber gasket on the inside of the door using a putty knife to pop it out. Once the gasket was pulled away we were able to completely remove the old handle and install the new one. It took about 15 minutes.
