Dark Urge. The title is a bit cramped, but I hope I got across the gist of my question. I've previously posted about how I tested out a Dark Urge playthrough as a Paladin (although in that post I failed to mention that I was running an Oath of the Ancients Paladin) and that the Dark Urge plotline forced a breaking of my oath.

It's complicated. If you are willingly giving in to your dark desires you will be obviously breaking it. The thing is you sometimes will unconsciously be doing some dark stuff. As long as you keep in mind the tenets of your oath (for vengeance specifically, granting mercy in certain contexts can break your oath because of who you're granting mercy to), you should be good.
