Personally, I think you'd get a lot more out of Alchemist than Thaumaturge for your second class. There's a lot more direct synergy, and the alchemist class abilities not granted through the dedication are very strong, especially with Devise. Thaumaturge has a ton of great class feats too. I think this build works best in the rare campaign where you start at a fairly high level. You reduce the burden on ability scores and class feat tax substantially by either just picking up the Sentinel Dedication for a STR build, or using a DEX build and grabbing the Magus Dedicate + Raise a Tome.
