Kensai is an archetype very suited to dex/int builds and gets you exotic weapon proficiency at lvl 1. Whips are, unfortunately pretty bad as far as weapons go. The lack of a crit range is really detrimental to most magus builds, and the lack of damage and good options to get dex to damage rules out most others.
