Loosen the locknuts, I believe you can only do the top nuts, the u-shaped bracket holds the bottom locknut in place, then slide the cable out of the "U". Remove seat. Remove tank-gas line, vent line at right rear, vac line at gas valve.

Bikeswiki says the VTX1300 produced 74hp and 123Nm (about 90ft/lbs) Torque. They also list the VT1300CS Sabre producing the same power specs, but all other VT1300 models (Stateline, interstate and Fury) producing 57.8 hp and 107Nm (about 79ft/lbs) Torque. Other sources say all the Injected VT1300's are 57.8hp and 107Nm torque.

I found two filters from Fram that would fit our bike PH6607 and PH6017A. I have always used Mobil 1 full synthetic motorcyle oil and a Honda oem filter but was at the auto parts store where i buy the oil and they had these filters listed in the book for the VTX 1300. As I understand it, the pair valve is something Honda put on the bike because of the emmissions laws (something about diluting the exhaust gas). It allows more air into the bike than you really need/want, and is not good for getting the bike running well. Also the VTX air fuel mixture is set "lean" by the factory, so that doesn't help either.
