One other question, do P1 and post WWII P38 frames fall in the same SN sequence? Clearly there is some sort of unsolved mystery to this! My own research has revealed that Manurhin manufactured the PPK from 1952 and 1986. The South African undercover police force used these pistols from 1972 t0 1996. Thus my pistol is most likely manufactured between 1972 and 1986. It says "made in France" on the slide.
