Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

It acts like it's stuck in neutral all the time and all the lights work normally when selecting any of the gear selections. I have to keep the parking brake set so it doesn't roll into the woods or the neighbors house. Problem is the shift solenoid is in 1st gear now while the truck is in park up on ramps. He said it's not exactly a common problem that they see but they have done plenty of valve bodies on the 66RFE and 68RFE with good success.
