The easiest class to level right now is Soldier. Shambler's Heart + Obsidian War Cleaver makes Tremor a ridiculous build until somewhere in the neighborhood of level 80, at which point you'll have to actually start paying attention to survival stats. You don't even really need a subclass until then; Tremor is that good right now.

OK forget Inquisitor builds then. Soldier/Demo should work OK. You can tie rifles into Fire Strike, and also get a Soldier combat skill other than Cadence, in case you feel the urge to do melee. Or just pump up Soldier defensive skills and take Fire Strike and another Demo attack form. Grenado, Stun-jacks, Mortars or whatever suits your fancy. #4.
