Dec 26, 2018 · Nice looking rifle. I bought a used c308 in May and put wood on it before I even shot it. The rifle has good bolt and ct gap and is a pleasure to shoot. Overall fit and finish are good. I bought another one with the cast receiver made in St. Albans, Vt about two months ago. It is also a good shooter. View attachment 3330211 View attachment 3330213

The C308 is built off of a mishmash of Cetme and HK parts. Those parts are compatible, but need more fitment and finish to mesh properly. Fit and finish is something Century is notoriously poor at. The PTRs are built from the ground up off of surplussed HK G3 tooling, if I recall correctly, and it shows. Original HK91 / G3 stock assembly with handguard, buttstock, and grip, green color, Used in *Good* Condition.Sold as a set.These sets are used in *Good* condition.The pistol grip, stock & handguard are green.This set will fit the HK91 and G3 rifles as well as the CETME C / C308 (may require minor modification for best fit).take a brand new c308 and put a dinged up mismatch wood set on it with worn out dented hardware....or spend more and get brand new wood and hardware in the end its still a junk gun, but it looks nicer. All you need to do to use that G3 stock is get some ~100 grit sand paper and sand the little nylon washer on the recoil spring retainer so that it fits nicely in the cetme bolt. Use the entire G3 recoil assembly so that you don't have to mess around with moving the buffer hole. C308 receivers are made by PTR. PTR did a lot of work on the C308 so I find it funny when people talk about how shitty the C308 is compared to the PTR. CAI never ground a bolt head either. The ground bolt heads arrived inside the kits from Spain.
