If thats fine make sure your brake switch is working, if it somehow moved then it wont release the switch to release the lock.Service Shifter - stuck in park. If you are in a rush and go through the movements as described by Grayman5752 v ery quickly it would stay in "limbo" and show D on the shifter, but still be in neutral.
