I’m looking for opinions on these bows with a 26 or around 26 inch draw. I know the Hoyt at 26 falls at the max of the shortest mod. I know Matthews is draw specific.Speed without sacrifice, yes, I will take it every single time. The 2023 Hoyt VTM 31, set at a draw length of 29 inches and a draw weight just a tick north of 72 pounds, sent the author’s 425.2-grain Easton Axis 4MM Long Range arrows at 295 fps. Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you. If you can’t shoot both based on the specs the Mathews is a shorter ata at 34ish and the Hoyt is 36ish. The Hoyt in theory should be more forgiving because it is longer. The Mathews will be lighter and slightly faster shooting. The Lift has a longer riser which makes a difference with stability and accuracy. the Lift will shoot 3-6 fps faster then the Phase4 or V3X’s. The weight difference is substantial though, you will definitely notice that.
