Jan 3, 2022 · So far, all of the micro compacts (P365, Hellcat, Max-9, Shield Plus, GX4, Mako) have all been striker-fired guns. The CSX, however, takes the hammer-fired route. The CSX is a single action only, hammer-fired micro-compact. The pistol utilizes 10 and 12 round magazines. Oh, and S&W ditched the all polymer frame, too. The newest Shield Plus for 2021 makes this review/comparison very out-of-date. The Plus, with its slightly less-aggressive grip texture than the 2.0, new flat-faced trigger, and much higher capacity (10+1 and 13+1 magazines) might make it a better choice to carry than the heavier, bulkier Compact, for most people.posted on August 8, 2022. That being said, the shield plus has such a better trigger and larger sight radius. I’ve read about a lot of issues with the CSX but can say I’ve had no issues with mine about 200 rounds in.
